Introduction of Bali


THE ISLAND OF BALI

 LOCATION
  
 The Island of Bali is a part of the Republic of Indonesia. Its limits:

-          North    : The Bali Sea.
-          East       : The Strait of Lombok.
-          South    : The Indian Ocean.
-          West     : The Strait of Bali.


The area of Bali is about 5.600 km square. Denpasar is capital city of Bali Province. The airport is called Ngurah Rai. It is located at Tuban. It is about 15km from Denpasar.

POPULATION

The population of the island of Bali is about 3 million inhabitants. The living of Balinese people: agriculture, stock breeding, horticulture, handicraft, tourism, officers,

RELIGION

Most of Balinese people are the followers of Hindu Religion. Religious ceremonies are often held and accompanied by dancers performance. The temples are found everywhere in the mountains, valleys, plains and on the beaches. The anniversary of the temple is called : temple festival (odalan). In Bali is usually celebrated once in six Balinese mounts or every 210 days. And sometimes once a year according to Balinese calendar.
